ISO 9001 Certification
ACR Systems, innovators and one of the world's largest manufacturers of portable, self-powered data logging instruments, received ISO 9001 certification in 1999. "ACR products have been made to the highest quality standards for over 20 years," says Wayne Thompson, the Director of Operations.
"With dealer representation in over 100 countries on six continents, an increasingly competitive marketplace, and quality-conscious consumers," he continues, "it is essential that our data loggers meet international quality standards."
ACR used the Business Development Bank of Canada's consultants to guide them through the certification process. The Quality Certification Bureau registered ACR to ISO 9001 standards on April 23, 1999. The ISO 9001 standard, the most comprehensive of all the ISO 9000 standards, is for quality systems in Design/Development, Production, Installation, and Servicing. It confirms the conformance of processes from the primary stage of product development through production, testing and calibration, shipping, and servicing.
ACR's compact data loggers are capable of running for up to 10 years on a single battery. They measure and record temperature, relative humidity, AC and DC current, pulse frequency, voltage, air pressure, flow, wind speed, and RPMs. The information is downloaded to and graphed on a PC.
