SR2/SRP2 FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions for SR2, SRP2

What is the total accuracy of the logger and the sensors?

For SmartReader 2:

  • RH: Accuracy is ±4% from 10 to 90% and a temperature range of -20°C to 40°C ( -4°F to 104°F)
  • Temperature:  Accuracy is 0.6°C at 25°C (1.1°F at 77°F)

For SmartReader Plus 2:

  •  RH: Accuracy is ±3% from 10 to 90% and a temperature range of -20°C to 40°C ( -4°F to 104°F)
  • Temperature: Accuracy is 0.23°C at 25°C (0.42°F at 77°F)

Does the unit come with the RH sensor?

Yes. It comes with one internal RH sensor and one internal onboard temperature sensor built-in. Therefore, wherever you place the logger it will record the temperature and RH value. If you want to record the temperature and RH of a second room, you will require the EH-020A probe (which is the external temperature and RH probe). The part number for this optional probe is: 01-0040.

Does the unit come with an EH-020A sensor?

No. It is an optional accessory, ordered separately.

What is the cable length of the EH-020A probe?

The EH-020A comes with a cable of 90 cm (3 feet).

Can I extend the cable of the External EH-020A probe?

Yes. The maximum recommended length is 100 feet of four-wire 22-gauge stranded conductor with a shield.

How often should the loggers be calibrated?

Once a year (when used under normal operating conditions).

Do you issue calibration certificates and are the loggers NIST traceable?

Yes. When we calibrate the loggers we issue you a calibration certificate for the RH sensor (which is NIST traceable).
